ANDREW HAVILL

Actor, theatre, film and television, and trainer for Presentation training Through Stand-up Comedy and Have a go at Stand-up Comedy Weekends

Andrew Spent four years with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, pausing only for nine months of Children's theatre to get his Equity card (during which he played not only Muscleman but Longtail the Dinosaur).
He then promptly spent four years at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Since then he has divided his career fairly equally between the rigorous demands of the
stage and the pampered inconsequentiality of the TV and Film world.

He has appeared in rep in Birmingham, Derby, Salisbury (twice), Edinburgh and  Scarborough, in the West End in The Woman in Black, A Woman of No Importance  and The Madness of George Dubya, at the Royal National Theatre, and more  recently, national tours of The Importance of Being Earnest with Wendy Craig, Arsenic and Old Lace with Angela Thorne, and Candida with the Oxford  Stage Company.
On TV, he has made over 30 appearances in sitcom (Harry  Enfield, The Peter Principle), courtroom drama (Kavanagh QC, Judge John  Deed), and costume drama (A Dance to the Music of Time, Aristocrats, Wives  and Daughters, Island At War, Casanova, Elizabeth David, and The  Impressionists) while his films include Sylvia with Gwyneth Paltrow, The  Heart of Me with Helena Bonham-Carter, and Nicholas Nickleby with just about  everyone in Equity including Barry Humphries twice.
